Ordering a custom kit is simple. Here's exactly what happens after you place your order.

Step 1 — Place your order
Choose your size and canvas option, then complete checkout.

Step 2 — Upload your photo
After checkout you'll receive an email with a link to upload your photo. Any clear, well-lit photo works — we'll handle the rest.

Step 3 — We create your design
Our team converts your photo into a paint by numbers design, optimising the colours and detail to make sure the finished painting looks as good as possible.

Step 4 — We print and pack
Your canvas is printed, your paints are matched to the design, and everything is packed into our branded gift box.

Step 5 — It ships to you
Your kit ships free, worldwide. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as it leaves us. From order to delivery, most customers receive their custom kit within 12–16 days — allowing 5 working days for production and 5–7 working days for delivery.

The photo is the foundation of your custom kit — a better photo makes a better painting. Here's what works:

Lighting: Natural daylight is ideal. Avoid harsh flash or deep shadows — soft, even light brings out the detail that makes the painting work.

Focus and clarity: The subject needs to be sharp. Blurry or heavily filtered photos produce blurry paintings, so use your clearest shot.

Background: Simple, uncluttered backgrounds help your subject stand out clearly on the canvas. Busy backgrounds can muddy the final design.

Resolution: Higher is better — at least 1MB. Most modern phone photos are fine. Avoid screenshots or heavily compressed images.

Composition: Centre your subject and leave a little breathing room around them. Very tight crops or extreme close-ups can lose important context in the painting.

Faces and fur: Both work beautifully. For pets, get down to their level and photograph them facing you in good light — it makes a huge difference.

How Long Will My Custom Kit Take?
Custom kits take a little longer than standard kits because we create your design specifically for you. Here's a typical timeline:

• Dispatch: 5 working days after receiving your photo (design, production & packing)
• Delivery: 5–7 working days (UK, US, Australia, Canada, Europe, NZ) or 10–14 working days elsewhere

Most customers receive their custom kit within 10–14 days of placing their order. During busy periods it may take a little longer.

Returns on Custom Kits
Because custom kits are made specifically for you, we're unable to accept returns once the kit has shipped. If something arrives damaged or isn't right, contact us within 7 days and we'll send a replacement.
