Florals

Bring the joy of flowers into your home with our Florals paint by numbers collection. Ten designs move from soft peonies and sunflower bouquets to lush English gardens, lavender fields and Old Master style still lifes. Each kit includes a pre-printed linen-blend canvas, pre-mixed acrylic paint pots, three brushes, a reference sheet and a getting-started guide.

Florals are the most colour-rich subject we offer, which is exactly why people find them absorbing. Petals are built from several closely related shades sitting side by side, so the painting develops depth gradually rather than all at once. The trade-off is that floral kits usually carry more small sections than a landscape of the same size.

Choosing a floral design

Bold and graphic: Sunflowers in a Vase and Bird of Paradise use large petal shapes and strong colour blocks, making them the easiest place to begin.

Soft and tonal: Peony Bouquet, Cherry Blossom Branch and Lavender Field at Sunset work in gentle gradients and suit bedrooms and quieter rooms.

Detailed and layered: English Garden in Bloom, Wildflower Meadow, Rose Garden, Iris & Poppies and Botanical Still Life carry the most sections and the widest palettes in the collection.

If this is your first kit, start with easy paint by numbers kits and our beginner's guide. For a bouquet with personal meaning — a wedding arrangement, or flowers from your own garden — the Custom Paint By Numbers Kit works from your photograph.

Frequently asked questions

Are floral paint by numbers kits harder than other subjects?
Slightly, yes. Petals are built from several closely related shades placed next to each other, so floral designs typically carry more small sections than a landscape of the same size. Sunflowers in a Vase and Bird of Paradise are the most beginner-friendly; English Garden in Bloom and Botanical Still Life are the most demanding.

How many colours do floral kits use?
You choose the detail level at checkout: Standard uses 24 colours, Extra-Detailed uses 36, and Premium uses 48. For florals the higher counts make a real difference, because petal shading depends on having several near-identical tones available.

What size works best for a floral painting?
Single-subject pieces such as Peony Bouquet or Cherry Blossom Branch look right at 30x40cm or 40x50cm. Wide garden and meadow scenes need more room and are better at 50x60cm or 60x70cm, where the individual blooms stay distinct.

What order should I paint a floral design in?
Paint the background first, then foliage, then petals, finishing with the lightest highlights. Complete every section of one colour before moving to the next, and let neighbouring areas dry before painting alongside them so the shades stay crisp.

Can I paint flowers from my own wedding or garden?
Yes. Upload a photograph to our Custom Paint By Numbers Kit and we convert it into a numbered canvas. Close, well-lit photographs with a clear main subject convert best; very busy arrangements lose definition once they are reduced to numbered sections.

Do the paints dry to a matte or glossy finish?
The acrylics dry to a natural matte finish. If you would prefer a sheen, or you simply want to protect the finished piece, a gloss or matte varnish can be applied once the canvas is fully dry. Our guide to sealing a paint by numbers explains both options.

Ready for more intricate botanical detail? Our advanced paint by number kits include richly detailed floral designs with finer sections and a wider colour palette.
