Paint A Moment is a UK brand of paint by numbers kits, designed in the UK and the USA. Our flagship is a custom kit made from a photo you send us. Alongside it we sell a growing range of ready-made designs, sorted by subject and by difficulty.
What we sell
- Custom paint by numbers from your photo, our flagship. Send a photo of a pet, a couple, a family or a place and we convert it into a numbered canvas with colour-matched paints. Seven sizes, three colour counts, three framing options.
- Ready-made kits by subject: animals, landscapes, seascapes and florals, in five sizes.
- The same ready-made designs grouped by difficulty, as beginner, intermediate and advanced kits.
- Painting accessories, including fine detail brushes, a magnifier, a number cover pen, flow aid, an anti-smudge glove and an apron.

Two limits are worth knowing before you choose. 60x80cm is the one custom size we do not make pre-framed, and 20x30cm is the one size with no 48-colour option.

On ready-made kits, pre-framing stops at 40x50cm and the 48-colour option starts at 40x50cm. Those are the only sizes we make, and every kit is printed on canvas, either rolled or on a frame.
What each framing option includes
- No Frame. The canvas comes rolled, ready for you to frame or stretch however you like.
- DIY Frame. Four wooden frame pieces, thumb tacks to attach the canvas, and hangers. You assemble it yourself, which takes a few minutes.
- Pre-Framed. The canvas arrives already stretched on its frame, ready to hang.

Custom kit
The custom kit runs from £21.99 to £93.99. The size sets the base price, then the colour count and the framing option add to it.

On top of those, 36 colours adds £7 at every size, and 48 colours adds £5 on top of that. The 48-colour option is not offered at 20x30cm.
Dispatch and delivery
Every kit is made to order. We dispatch within 3 to 5 working days, and on a custom kit that clock starts once we have your photo. Delivery after that is tracked and takes 5 to 7 working days to the UK and the US, 7 to 10 working days to Europe, and 10 to 14 working days to the rest of the world. Shipping is free worldwide with no minimum spend.
Previews are available if you ask
If you want to see the converted design before we make your custom kit, say so when you send the photo and we will email it to you for approval at no charge. It is not automatic, so you do need to ask.
The guarantee differs by range
Ready-made kits carry a 30-day happiness guarantee. If something is wrong with the kit we replace it, and if the replacement does not put it right we refund you. If you simply change your mind, you can return the kit at your own cost and we refund it once the return reaches us.
Custom kits are printed from your own photo for you alone, so they cannot be resold and they are not refundable. If one arrives faulty or damaged, or the print quality is wrong, send us photos within 30 days and we replace it. Any damaged kit is replaced, whichever range it came from.

How to choose, in our own words
- For one face or one pet, 40x50cm is the sensible minimum. Two or more faces need 50x60cm or larger, or the features come out too small to paint.
- The colour count is the real difficulty setting, not the label on the box. 24 suits a first kit or a child, 36 suits most adults and most photographs, and 48 is what faces, pets and soft shading need to keep the detail in eyes and fur.
- A good source photo is sharp, well lit and simple behind the subject. The conversion can only use detail that is already in the picture.
- Above 40x50cm on a ready-made kit, and above 50x60cm on a custom kit, the DIY frame is the ready-made framing option.

What sizes do your paint by numbers kits come in?
Custom kits come in seven sizes: 20x30, 30x40, 40x40, 40x50, 50x50, 50x60 and 60x80cm. Ready-made kits come in five: 20x30, 30x40, 40x50, 50x60 and 60x70cm.
Which sizes can I have pre-framed?
On the custom kit, every size except 60x80cm. On ready-made kits, 20x30, 30x40 and 40x50cm. Above those sizes the DIY frame is the framing option.
How much does a custom paint by numbers kit cost?
From £21.99 for 20x30cm rolled with 24 colours, up to £93.99 for 60x80cm with a DIY frame and 48 colours. Choosing 36 colours adds £7 at any size, and 48 colours adds £5 on top of that. Shipping is free.
How long does a kit take to arrive?
We dispatch within 3 to 5 working days. Tracked delivery after that takes 5 to 7 working days to the UK and the US, 7 to 10 working days to Europe, and 10 to 14 working days to the rest of the world.
Do I see a preview before you make my custom kit?
Only if you ask for one. Say so when you send the photo and we will email the converted design for your approval at no charge.
Can I return a custom kit?
A custom kit is printed from your own photo for you alone, so it is not refundable. If it arrives faulty or damaged, or the print quality is wrong, send us photos within 30 days and we will replace it. Ready-made kits are different: they carry the 30-day guarantee and can be returned at your own cost for a refund once the return reaches us.
How many colours should I choose?
24 for a first kit or a child, 36 for most adults and most photographs, and 48 for faces, pets and anything with soft shading. The 48-colour option covers every custom size except 20x30cm, and ready-made kits from 40x50cm up.
